Former RAF Search and Rescue Pilot Available for Comment rss

LEXIA Media is delighted to be able to offer media trainer and former RAF Search and Rescue pilot, Dave Kay, for interview and comment.

With the recent announcement that Prince William is to step into the world of Search and Rescue, your editorial teams may well be keen to find a spokesperson with valid experience and insight.

Dave Kay is a 39-year-old former RAF Search and Rescue pilot, who, until 2007, was based at 22 Squadron in Wattisham, Suffolk.

Now a commercial pilot, Dave has extensive experience with the SAR field, as well as having enjoyed a long RAF career in peace-time and conflict scenarios.

Trained at Cranwell in the early 1990s, Dave has served in Kosovo, Northern Ireland and in the most recent Gulf War.

He can detail at length the intricacies of RAF Search and Rescue, the training processes, the work protocol, the likely duty scenarios and the aircraft and equipment used by the crews.

Most recently, in addition to being a pilot for British Airways, Dave has been leading media training for Lexia Media - reaching out to both the corporate and voluntary sector.

If you should be looking for comment on RAF Search and Rescue stories, please contact us to arrange interviews with Dave Kay.
