Team Prepare to Toast Their Role in Lord Mayor's Show rss

AWARD-Winning Suffolk agency Lexia Media will have a special reason to celebrate the forthcoming Lord Mayor's Show in London.

The full-service communications consultancy has produced the branding for the 2008 Lord Mayor's Appeal, which is officially unveiled at the Show on Saturday 8th November.

Lexia's design team developed a logo for the Appeal and has spent recent months preparing a range of marketing materials, brochures and Appeal literature.

The Appeal will see two charities benefiting from a 12-month campaign of fundraising in the city of London - St John Ambulance London District and The Lord's Taverners.

After months of secrecy, the branding will get its full unveiling in the city on a variety of banners and signs at the highly popular annual Show. City businesses will begin receiving branded literature at their offices from Monday 10th November.

The main Lord Mayor's Appeal logo reflects the two recipient charities and sits with a strapline of Building Lives, Saving Lives. It comprises a heart - to reflect St John Ambulance and their bid to see more defibrillators placed across London, and three cricket stumps - to reflect The Lord's Taverners and their cricketing heritage.

Deborah Watson, managing director of Lexia Media, said: "Having our brand design chosen for the Appeal was a great honour and the team and I are really looking forward to seeing it in all its glory at the Show.

"Our work on this project has spanned a wide array of materials, taking in everything from letterheads and business cards to exhibition stands, brochures and a website.

"We are proud to have been involved with something that has such an important history and significance in London and have been privileged to work with some very significant personalities in the City throughout the activity."

This year's Lord Mayor of London is to be Ian Luder, who served as Sheriff of the City for 2007 to 2008. He becomes the 681st Lord Mayor of the City of London.

During his year of office, he will take part in a variety of events and activities, while encouraging donations to the two elected charities.

The Appeal will specifically help raise money for St John Ambulance London District to place more defibrillators in the City of London, and for The Lord's Taverners to continue helping thousands of disadvantaged young people in London.

Ian Pay, Appeal Director, said: "We are delighted to be working with Lexia Media and thank them for their help in designing our Appeal logo and corporate identity."

Lexia Media is a full-service PR consultancy, serving a variety of clients throughout East Anglia and the UK.
