Also taking place on the same day will be a further alfresco workout with MB Fitness, face-painting and magic, balloon artistry and music.
Paul Clement, Executive Director of Ipswich Central, said the enormous success of the project has naturally led to the requirement for a larger grassed arena – something Ipswich Central is pleased to provide to allow more visitors to enjoy the activity.
“We are delighted with how the project has gone down with shoppers and retailers alike.
“The last two weeks have proved that hundreds of people are keen to benefit from the activity, and we know that the film-showings are already attracting a lot of advance interest.
“With that in mind we have decided to add to the size of the arena so that we can ensure as many people as possible will benefit.”
Last week saw the world-famous Titan come to Ipswich for the first time ever, and other activity has included alfresco workouts, food giveaways, circus workshops, music, face-painting and puppet shows.
Paul added: “The two films have been carefully chosen to make sure that youngsters and adults can benefit from the initiative, and the films are being shown with the compliments of Ipswich Central.
“Not only will people be able to enjoy these screenings in a unique setting next Wednesday, but we’ve also got lots of eating establishments and retailers adding their weight to the summer campaign by offering special deals through our Ipswich Central Plus Scheme.
“These offers are only available on the Wednesdays and they make for a great reason for families to come into the town centre and enjoy the summer fun.”
A nominal fee of £1 is charged for entry to the arena and it is fully open to the public from 10am (not including workout sessions, which commence earlier).
Seeing any or all of the films is on a strictly first come first served basis, as space may become limited during the day.
For travelling to this terrific event, five people can travel into town in Ipswich Buses for £3 total, there and back. (A group of 5 with one fare-paying adult, max two fare paying adults). Travel is anywhere and unlimited during weekdays and bank hols within Ipswich.
