NOTTING HILL BRAND SELECTS SUFFOLK FIRM FOR CONTRACT

EAST Anglia’s successful logistics business, Dooley Rumble, has clinched a new contract to provide freight and warehousing services to a designer furniture company based in Notting Hill.

Made.com provides handpicked furniture items to customers throughout Europe and was keen to select a delivery service which would have a good fit with its customer ethic and exceptional attention to detail.

Dooley Rumble, which has over 20 years of experience in distribution and warehousing for a variety of sectors, was chosen as a clear favourite and has now modified a special hopper on-site which individually stuffs Made’s bean-bags as one aspect of the contract.

Director, Neil Dooley, said: “We are delighted to have won this fantastic contract with Made.com. The company is clearly very passionate about the standard of its customer service, just as we are.

“Our team has considerable experience in providing services of this nature and are pleased to be playing such a vital role in the process of getting great products to the doors of consumers throughout the UK.”

Julien Callede, Chief Operating Officer for Made.com, said: “From the outset, we have been very impressed with the way in which Dooley Rumble has been keen to understand us and the needs of our business.

“The fact that they were able to structure their packing facility and warehousing around such a specific requirement was really encouraging, and they have always been quick to adjust to any changes in our supply chain.

“They have become a vital part in our service to our customer and we are thoroughly enjoying our working relationship with this exceptional company.”

Dooley Rumble was founded in 1986 and has developed a strong reputation for freight-forwarding, warehousing and distribution. It has broadened its operation a number of times in recent years. In 2000 it developed an export packing department, and only last year it gained certification to provide Driver CPC training.

Its site has substantial warehouse space which can be leased by external companies for a project-life or extended period.
